A. Overview

Bioethics is a three-hour course that examines legal and ethical aspects of death and dying, reproduction, human experimentation, organ transplantation, and selected everyday clinical situations. 

B. First Assignment (May 30)

  • Pick up Course Guidelines, Syllabus, and Handouts in Faculty Reception Area or from the course web site.
  • Bring calendar to discuss scheduling of make-up class.
  • Read for class discussion:
    • Handouts: (1) Gunther & Diekma, "Attenuating Growth in Children with Profound Developmental Disability," and (2) Brosco & Feudtner, "Growth Attenuation"
    • Casebook pp. 1-30
